Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, will deliver the Budget on 26 November 2025. The government has announced that it will bring forward legislative changes to corporate reporting obligations and that it intends to expand the scope of its non-financial reporting review pre-consultation to include financial, remuneration and corporate governance reporting. The government has also appointed Mark Austin CBE to establish and chair the Dematerialisation Market Action Taskforce and recently written to all FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies with urgent advice to help ensure they are best protected against cyber threats.
