Judith Rauhofer is a former solicitor. She qualified as a solicitor in 1999, having previously qualified as a Rechtsanwalt in Germany. She practised for four years at Lewis Silkin, specialising in data protection, e-commerce and general commercial law, before joining Practical Law where she now leads Practical Law Data Protection. She also is a Lecturer in IT Law at the University of Edinburgh and an Associate Director of the Centre for Studies of Intellectual Property and Technology Law (SCRIPT), where her research focus is on data protection law, a field in which she has published articles and presented papers at conferences and workshops.
